The March 5 Primary Election is not over! What are we doing?
Counties began tabulating Vote by Mail (VBM) results prior to Election Day and counting is ongoing. Presidential results must be submitted to the State by April 2 and all others by April 5 so the election can be certified on April 12. Contra Costa still has approximately 650 ballots left to count and many of them are VBM ballots that were rejected for signature verification issues.
We have election integrity volunteers working to “cure” Republican ballots that were rejected to ensure that every legal vote counts. Have you verified that your vote was counted? If not, please do so here: State of California (ballottrax.net) In order to count, rejected ballots much be cured with the County by March 26. Of 1,158 rejected ballots in Contra Costa, 227 were Republicans.
Looking Ahead
The Central Committee will work with the County to ensure the voter rolls are current as we move into the General Election on November 5. We’re looking to secure at least 100 Contra Costa Republican volunteers. No amount of time is too small – every minute counts – we’ll have big jobs and small jobs available. We’re planning a substantial Get Out the Vote (GOTV) effort and we need YOU to be successful! Please contact our Election Integrity Officer, Jean Follmer at jeanfollmer@yahoo.com if you have questions or you’re willing to volunteer – thank you!
